Wiscon Envirotech has 16 years of experience in scrap PET bottle recycling line (PET washing line). Around the globe, we have hundred of PET recycling systems running. Our wash lines are specially designed to minimize the energy consumption, and include a water treatment system to minimize the water consumption.
Polyethylene Terephthalate or PET products are 100% recyclable and are the most recycled plastic worldwide. PET can be easily identified by its recycling code #1. All kinds of PET waste can go into our PET bottle recycling system.
From Baled to Unbaled
Whether baled or not baled, the first step is to break it down. The PET bales are delivered by metal conveyor and then enter a debaler. The rakes of the debaler snap off the straps, freeing the bottles. If the bottles are heavily contaminated, they will go through a trommel. A slow rotation drives out sands and dirt.
Label Remover
The labels wrapped on each bottle are not our target materials. Thus, we use a mechanical label remover to peel off 90% of the labels. The sharp knives rip off the plastic labels inside the chamber.
Wet Granulation
A granulator is a perfect machine for size reducing and washing the bottles. With a special force-feed device, the bottles directly enter the crushing chamber. As a result, 12mm flakes go to the subsequent process.
Friction Washing and Density Separation
The rollers of the density tank make sure all materials are submerged and fully wet.
Buoyant materials: caps and labels, are gathered from the water surface.
Sink-float tanks pick up sinking materials (PET flakes) by an auger from the bottom.
Hot Washer (Label Remover)
This is a necessary step for hot wash but not necessary for cold wash. Adhesive (glue) remaining on bottles is challenging. When hot washing, using detergent and proper warm water and stirring constantly can efficiently dissolve the glue.
This is a vital step to increase product quality.
Drying
We promise the moisture content is less than 1% using just a centrifugal dryer. Next, followed by an air classifier, the remaining plastic labels will be blown out of the system.
In the end, the PET bottle washing line developed by Wiscon separates caps, adhesive, and film from PET bodies., and delivers high-quality PET flakes are extrusion and injection grade.

Once a PET bottle recycling system is finished, Wiscon tests the PET washing line with similar materials to show capability and output. Seeing is believing, so you are greatly welcome to present and witness with us on site. If you cannot make it in-person, detailed videos and numerous photos will be prepared for you to exam.
