GPPS shredder and GPPS granulator are designed for downsizing and recycling engineering plastics. General-Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) can be in forms of lumps, rejects and purgings created during plastic production.

GPPS is brittle and has low-impact strength as well as less dimensional stability than HIPS. It is used as transparent packaging and casing.
To downsize GPPS scraps, a powerful plastic shredder is the your first choice for getting uniform GPPS regrinds. A low-speed rotor welded with multiple blades cut down GPPS scraps as shown in the video. The horizontal pusher maintains a small distance between rotor and GPPS lumps.
The drive power is enhanced to ensure a sufficient shearing force to break down GPPS lumps. The largest of the GPPS granulator capacity is up to 2T/hr. This is well suited for large plastic recyclers and other recycling facilities.
With the unique design of GPPS shredder rotor and chamber, the rotor knives and the counter knives cut materials perfectly so that can not only produce uniform particles, but also reduce the dust emission.
Another major feature is the heavy steel construction and the rotor. The former uses thicker steel plate to fabricate. The GPPS granulator rotor is made from a solid block of hardened steel forged without any welding, as proof of extreme solidity, strength and resistance.
The wide range of rotors and hopper styles allow GPPS shredder and GPPS granulator to be tailored to almost every application in the plastic recycling field. The CL series granulators are mainly used as large central granulators for in house recycling applications to process large thick walled parts in one step or as a second step granulator after a shredder to reach higher throughput rates. When grinding light materials, such as bottles the throughput can be greatly increased with the addition of Wiscon force-feed device. For abrasive, contaminated or highly filled materials the machines can be equipped with special wear protections, such as hard facing of the rotor and housing and key parts manufactured from highly wear resistant steels.
