EVA shredder and EVA granulator are a recycling machine to pulverize EVA to a desired size. The machine can process all kinds of scrap polymer including natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and neoprene. Eva can be in the forms of lump, sheet, reject and roll created during thermoforming.
EVA is an abbreviation for Ethylene-vinyl acetate, and is designed to meet multiple engineering applications. As an super elastic elastomer, EVA is also known expanded rubber and foam rubber. EVA plastic alone can be found in shoes and swimming boards. EVA copolymer is commonly used as textile and packaging.

To downsize scrap EVA, a compact rubber shredder is essential to start with. A slow-speed and high-torque rotor welded with multiple blades can peel off a rubber EVA as illustrated in the video.
The horizontal ram maintains a close distance between rotor and EVA blocks. Thus, it increases the capacity to 300kg/hr, for P260, our smallest single-shaft shredder machine.
Note that depending on the VA content of EVA copolymer, a high power is required because high VA content leads to a higher rigidity.

The motor power is increased to ensure a sufficient shearing force to break down EVA lumps. The largest of the EVA granulator capacity is up to 2 ton/h. This is well suited for large plastic recyclers and rubber manufacturers to do in-house recycling.
With the unique design of rubber shredder rotor and chamber, the rotor blades and the counter blades cut materials perfectly so it produces uniform particles around 10mm. A cooling device is required to keep the chamber and rotor at a appropriate temperature. This would prevent EVA polymer from melting.
Another major feature is the heavy steel construction and the rotor. The former uses thicker steel plate to fabricate. The EVA granulator rotor is made from a solid block of hardened steel forged without any welding, as proof of extreme solidity, strength and resistance.
All shredding machine components are interchangeable, such as the rotor blade holders, screen and wear-resistant protection plates on the sides of the cutting chamber, which ensures maximum machine efficiency and duration over time.
In addition, the opening of the infeed hopper and screen cradle are hydraulically actuated by merely one button. This facilitates an easy access to the heart of EVA shredder and granulator, for easy maintenance and time-saving servicing.
